As many of you know, I worked in the Air Force for quite a number of years before I turned to the world of photography full time. Because of the people I met there, I always feel very happy when some of them come to me and trust me to photograph them with their other halves, their wedding, their kids, etc.
Rodolfo was one of those grooms. I met him when we were both studying at the Academy, a number of years ago, and I was excited when he and Carina came to me so that I would photograph their wedding. :)
Despite the serious side of being an Air Force pilot, Rodolfo is without a doubt one of the funniest people I met while I was in the organization, and so I knew the day was going to be a lot of fun!
Both him and Carina are happy and easy-going people and the photographs with the two of them were effortless because of the way that they naturally fit with each other.
Their ceremony was at the S. Martinho church in the center of Pombal and the cutting of the cake was done right after that in the interior patio of the Barn of the Marquis of Pombal, next door to the church. From there we went to Quinta da Concha, where the party could only get larger.
This wedding was one of those that last until late, probably because it included a live concert! And yes, the groom was part of the band! The bride and groom coordinated everything with the other elements of the band without letting anyone else know, so the performance was a surprise for the other guests. It was crazy, but good crazy!
Have a look!
